COVID SAFETY MEASURES AT TIME TO UNWIND

Hygiene practices

Cleanliness is always paramount in my clinic.

1. I regularly wash and sanitise my hands as per my usual massage practice.

2. Change all linen and towels between each client and clean the face rest before and after each client.

3. All contact surfaces including the treatment table and Hicaps machine are disinfected between every session.

4. I always use disposable gloves and alcohol wipes for dry needling treatments at all times, and the acupuncture needles I use are single use and disposed of safely.

5. To help limit the spread of this virus, I ask that you don't come into the clinic if you have been in contact with an infected person or suspected infected person, noted in the attached contact tracing document below.

6. If you have flu like symptoms, sniffles or a cold, please rest up at home and don't come into the clinic, massage is not enjoyable with a stuffy nose anyway. If you feel it's just hay fever, please discuss this with me before you book in.

7. Washing your hands is a practice we should all be doing anyway, however, please wash your hands before your massage treatment and afterwards, I have bathroom facilities or hand sanitiser at the reception desk, and I can assure you my hands are washed many times a day, before and after each client I treat.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this time.

 About Maggie Nolan

Hello & Welcome to Time To Unwind

My name is Maggie Nolan, I have been a Remedial Massage Therapist/manual therapist or multi-modality practitioner, for over 24 years now.

My journey started in 1994, just after I graduated from high school to study what was known then, as a certificate in therapeutic massage therapy.

After completing the 16 week course, I set out to find work, and found employment in a small massage centre in the heart of Brisbane city, where I worked for 5 years. In that time I also completed a certificate in sports massage, to qualify me to become a sports massage practitioner.

In 2003, I decided to complete my Diploma in Remedial Massage and start my own mobile massage business as well as a home based business in Paddington.

Over my working career, I have worked alongside Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, Physiotherapists, other massage therapists and I still continue to work in combination with other therapists in my local area.

In May 2014, I decided to open my own clinic, and Time to Unwind on Anzac Avenue in Hillcrest, was born.

It has been a wonderful journey so far, I love having the flexibility to work my business around my three children. I am proud to be in my chosen industry, helping my clients everyday with my years of knowledge in many different modalities I have learnt over the years. These include:

Remedial massage, sports massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point release techniques, muscle cupping for myofascial release and traditional glass flame cupping, dry needling, pregnancy massage and Reflexology.

I am also a fully qualified mat work and small equipment Pilates instructor as well as a Reiki Master and an access bars practitioner.

I have had a long term passion and love for my work, with experience, skill, intuition and knowledge in my chosen profession,  I look forward to sharing with you in my relaxing clinic environment in Hillcrest.

see you at Time to Unwind.
